Michael David Voltoline
4/11/1953 - 2/5/2010



VOLTOLINE, MICHAEL DAVID died at the age of 56 on February 5, 2010.  He was born and raised in Sanford, FL.  He graduated from Seminole High School in 1971, continuing his education to earn an AA degree in Mechanical Drawing.

He volunteered for service entering the US Army during the Vietnam era serving as a Field Artillery Specialist and Drill Sergeant.  Michael was in the aluminum industry for 31 years where he was well respected.  His love of sports began at any early age.  He participated in baseball, track and football in school.   He was an avid & competitive outdoorsman who loved to win and excelled in any type of outdoor sport.  His hobbies and passions were fishing, camping, hunting, NASCAR & watching the Gators.  He was a kind and gentle man with a big heart who deeply loved his family and friends, and he in turn was loved my so many.

He leaves behind his wife, Kathryn Thompson Voltoline of 26 years, his sons, Morrow (Lisa) and Matthew (Danielle) and daughter, Mikki, all of this area and his son Tyler Schmitt, West Palm Beach and daughter Alicia Hartwell, GA, his mother, Linda Robb, Sanford, his father, Frank Voltoline (Barbara), DeBary, mother-in-law, Joyce Wood, Ormond, his brothers, Rick (Lisa) and Jimmy (Deanna), Sanford, his sister, Laura (Kevin) Brennan, Seminole, his uncle David (Susan) Leonard, Orange City, sister-in-law, Robin Phillips (Ron), NC, brother-in-law, Jeff Thompson (Rae), KY, as well as three grandchildren, Chance, Austin & Marley, and many nieces & nephews, long time friends and his best friend Greg Rogalla.

Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.  A Memorial service was held at Tomoka Christian Church on Granada Blvd. in Ormond Beach on Monday February 15, 2010.
