Funeral Mass for Kathryn Gates, 72, of Ormond Beach who passed away Monday April 19, 2010 will be celebrated 1:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Brendan Catholic Church with Father James Queen as celebrant. Cremation will follow. Kathryn was born June 19, 1937 in Cortland, NY. She had worked for many years at the Cortland Memorial Library and the United Way of Cortland County as an administrative secretary. Most recently she had been a volunteer with the Secret Attic in Ormond Beach. Kathryn was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church and the Antique Auto Club of America.
Predeceased by her first husband, Robert J. Gates, she is survived by her husband Donald Buck; two sons, Kenneth Gates and Joseph Gates; a daughter, Kristin Cloyes; five grandchildren, David and Joshua Gates, Colin Cloyes, Chelsea and Meghan Gates; two great granddaughters, Emma and Skyla Gates.
