Jean Yeager Whaley, 83, passed away July 29, 2010 in Ormond Beach, FL. Jean was born November 23, 1926 in an Amish area of Chambersburg, PA. She graduated from Lemasters high school, class of 1944, and Thompson Jr. College in York, PA in 1946, then attended Shippensburg State College. She taught for 8 yrs in VA, then became  a real estate broker/owner of Century 21 Old Dominion Properties in Manassas & Fairfax, VA until 1980 at which time she married native Floridian, Ben Whaley Jr., and moved to Ormond  Beach,  FL. Jean was broker/owner of “The Real Estate Shoppe” in Daytona Beach, FL and ended her career at Century 21 Sundance Realty also in Daytona Beach. She leaves behind: daughter Sherri and her husband John Osterday Jr.; son Greg Taylor and his wife Nancy; grandchildren Ashley Osterday, John Osterday III (deceased), Brett Taylor, Marshall Taylor, brother Robert Yeager, and companion Fred Beck.

 Funeral services  will  be held at Haigh-Black Funeral Home at 167 Vining Ct., Ormond Beach, FL on August 2, 2010. Viewing: 2-3 pm with services to follow with burial in the Garden of Resurrection at Grace Lutheran Church.  

Donations may be made to HospiceCare at Florida Hospital Oceanside in Ormond Beach, FL. .
